44 year-old woman arrested in Ketchikan

Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - On May 9th, 2023, at about 4:33 PM, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Sherry Whitney, age 44 of Ketchikan near mile 3 of the South Tongass Highway.

Whitney had an outstanding warrant for her arrest stemming from the original charge of Disorderly Conduct.  Further investigation revealed that Whitney was also in violation of current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse by being intoxicated by alcohol.  Whitney was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center on her warrant and the new charge of Violating Conditions of Release.  

Any charges reported in these releases are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
