105 year sentence for killer

Utqiagvik, Alaska (KINY) Ronald Fischer killed a state prosecutor Brian Sullivan in 2014.

Fischer shot Sullivan with a shotgun in the home of his former paramour.

Superior Court Judge Gregory Miller sentenced Fischer to 99 years on a first degree murder charge and six years for an assault conviction.

Fischer asked the court for mercy as he apologized to the victim's family.

A jury found Fischer guilty last November.  He is a convicted felon with a history of domestic violence

Prosecutor James Fayette in a sentencing memo said Fischer should be characterized as a "worse offender."
