In Juneau, local harbors and whale-watching hotspots can be bustling. With multiple user groups and a growing tour industry, it is more important than ever to focus on ways to balance the needs of industry and community and prioritize marine conservation. Join Suzie Teerlink of NOAA and Jayleen Bydlon for a discussion of the status of Juneau's whale-watching industry, some innovative approaches to sustainability and effective sharing of our waterways between industry, community, and whales.
The Fireside Lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
