Con Brio Chamber Series, in partnership with the Juneau Composers Consortium and the University of Alaska, will present Climate Soundscapes, a unique program of new works by seven Juneau-based composers, interpreting the research of six climate scientists. Composers Michael Bucy, Rob Cohen, William Todd Hunt, Ben Holtz, Beth Leibowitz, Artemio Sandoval, and Ty Wolverton have collaborated with scientists Vladimir Alexeev, Olivia Lee, Heidi Pearson, Joanna Young, Dina Abdel Fattah, and Javier Fochesatto. The seven world premieres will be performed by 25 Juneau musicians, with ensembles ranging from a piano duo with strings to a 12-instrument complement.
