| Pete Carran has worked as a
broadcast journalist for most of his 35 years in Alaska. He was news director at KFQD and
other radio stations and a producer at KAKM Public Television in Anchorage. Carran was
assigned to cover the legislative session in 1984 by KTUU-TV in Anchorage. His decision to
relocate to Juneau permanently was spurred by his love of the countryside and a job at
KTOO Public Television. After stints with the State Division of Personnel and as a
legislative aide, Carran decided to pursue his first love again and has worked in radio
