USCG responds to two rescues

    Petersburg, Alaska (KINY) A disabled boat and a woman in distress were assisted by the US Coast Guard Sector Juneau.

    The USCG Bailey Barco crew successfully towed the adrift 58-foot fishing vessel Pacific Belle, with three people aboard. They towed the vessel from Brother Island to Petersburg for vessel repairs.

    Air Station Sitka sent an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and crew to medevac a 46-year old woman who suffered from abdominal pain from Hoonah to Sitka. 

    Sitka EMS transported her to the hospital for further treatment.
