Two vehicle accident on Egan blamed on loose dog

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A loose dog was the cause of a two vehicle accident in the 7000 block of Egan Drive Thursday evening.

    The case was detailed in the bulletin issued by Juneau Police Friday afternoon.

    The bulletin says a  a car  struck the dog as it was crossing the roadway before 10 p.m.   Another car than struck the one that hit the dog.  Police say both vehicles sustained about $2,000 in damage.  No injuries were reported.  

    The dog was killed.  The owner of the dog could not be located, so animal control officers responded and took possession of it.
