Anchor Point, Alaska (KINY) A man who pointed a rifle at Alaska State Troopers was shot and wounded Sunday.
A dispatch from Alaska State Troopers said Fernando Ospina, 47, was treated at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer and later flown to Anchorage.
The name of the Trooper or Troopers involved does not have to be released for three days. All police related shootings are investigated by the Alaska Department of Law's special prosecutions office.
Troopers had been dispatched for a report of shots fired at Ospina's home. When they arrived, Ospina allegedly opened the door and pointed a rifle at them.
