Trapping closures ended on Ketchikan trails

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - The US Forest Service trapping closures along Ketchikan area trails have been lifted as of Nov. 6.

    The US Forest Service trapping closures along Ketchikan area trails have been lifted as of Nov. 6.

    Forest Supervisor Earl Stewart made the decision after review of feedback from the public meeting and after reviewing applicable law and Forest Service policy.

    The temporary, emergency closure had prohibited trapping within 150 feet of trails and campgrounds along the Ketchikan road system.
