Traffic stop leads to arrest

Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) Aaron Mccolley, 27, was found in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Explorer near the intersection of 3rd Ave and Jefferson Street when the vehicle allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.

Troopers used a K-9 unit to check the exterior of the car and the dog alerted to the vehicle.

Troopers also reported that McColley violated conditions of his release by not obeying state law.

He was taken to the Ketchikan Correctional Center to await a court appearance.
