State revenue forecasts better than anticipated

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) State revenues might be looking better but not good enough to end the state's fiscal problems.

    Revenue is up $256 million for fiscal year 2018 and $212 million for fiscal year 2019 according to a report released by the Alaska Department of Revenue.

    Commissioner Sheldon Fisher said revenue is also predicted to increase by between $124 and $213 million between 2020-2026.

    North slope oil production is expected to increase.
