School Board to meet on prioritzed budget list, public hearing planned

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau School Board takes up the prioritized operating fund expenditure list Tuesday evening as it works toward coming up with a budget plan for the next year.

The budget plan pares three million dollars from current year spending.
Board Vice President Josh Keaton said on Action Line Tuesday that  the board made minor changes to the list provided by the superintendent.    He doesn't envision the board making drastic changes between now and a special meeting planned Tuesday, March 27 to take final action.  The budget must be submitted to the Assembly by the end of the month.

Tuesday's meeting is scheduled to convene at six  p.m. in the library at Juneau Douglas High School.

Public comment will be take this evening and during the March 27 meeting.
