Pedestrian struck and killed

    Delta Junction, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers said a woman walked into traffic and died on the Alaska Highway Monday.

    The Trooper Dispatch said the driver did not have time to react and struck the woman near Mile Marker 1401, approximately 19 miles east of Delta Junction at 7:30 am Monday.  Troopers said Jennifer Weeks, 43, of Delta Junction, was walking on the roadway at the time of the collision.  They went on to report that the incident occurred before daylight and that it had been snowing at the time of the collision.   They reported that there were no foot prints found on the side of the road/

     They went on to report that an autopsy will be performed in the case and that the investigation is ongoing.
