Oil tax credits to be challenged in court

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Juneau man takes state to court over plan to repay $1 billion in oil tax credits.

Eric Forrer filed the complaint in Juneau District Court.  The litigation claimed the legislation creates an unconstitutional bond debt scheme.  It also challenged the Governor and lawmakers to balance the budget without gimmicks and opaque measures.

The litigation was passed by the legislature Friday but is yet to be signed into law by the Governor.
