Man charged with shooting at boat

    Craig, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers said the suspect didn't injure anyone and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

    Donald Austin, 60, of Wadleigh Island, allegedly fired several rounds at a fishing vessel in the herring fishery. 

    A dispatch from Alaska State Troopers did not disclose the motive for the shooting.  At least one shot hit the fishing vessel.  Troopers added that the crew was in fear of imminent serious physical injury.

    Austin faces one count of misconduct involving weapons in the second degree, nine counts of assault third degree, and one count of misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree.   He was held at the Craig jail without bail pending arraignment.
