Ketchikan teen allegedly kicks trooper

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers said a domestic violence call turned into an arrest for assault on a law enforcement officer this weekend.

    Kasia Tavares, 19, was charged with assault in the fourth degree after the incident.  The Trooper dispatch said they responded to a report of a disturbance at he end of Whipple Creek Road near a parking area.  Tavares allegedly kicked the Trooper during the investigation.  Tavares was taken to the Ketchikan Correctional Center to await arraignment.  Troopers said alcohol was a factor in the arrest.
