'Juneau's Got Talent' returns Feb. 9 to JACC

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Fourteen acts will display their talent and compete for prizes on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center beginning at 7 p.m.

    The fourth annual Juneau's Got Talent, hosted by Juneau Dance Theatre, is modeled after popular televised talent competitions.

    A panel of local personalities, drawn from the Juneau arts scene, plus the audience's votes, delivered as money, will determine the winner.

    Finalists were selected from a pool of performers who auditioned live or by video submission, in December.

    Contestants for Juneau’s Got Talent 2019 are:
    •    Serena Crupi, contemporary dance
    •    Jefferson Estigoy, vocal/guitar
    •    Mya Hayes, Irish dance
    •    Sienna Lee & Aiden Walling, jazz dance
    •    Jaylynn Martin, vocal/keyboard
    •    Reagan Mitchell, vocal music
    •    David Moore, original vocal/guitar
    •    Catherine Pashigian, vocal music
    •    Radiophonic Jazz, rap
    •    Lydia Rail, vocal music
    •    Jess Skiba, vocal music
    •    Two Good Lookin Guys, alternative rock
    •    Jemima Verebasaga, vocal/ukulele
    •    Viliame Verebasaga, vocal/guitar

    The 2019 Juneau's Got Talent guest judges are:
    •    Christa Baxter, owner, Fusion Dance Company
    •    Julie Coppens, director of outreach and engagement, Perseverance Theatre
    •    Catherine Fowle, principal teacher and ballet master, Juneau Dance Theatre
    •    William Todd Hunt, musician, conductor, Artistic Director of Orpheus Project
    •    Jocelyn Miles, vocalist, winner of Juneau’s Got Talent 2016
    •    Noatak Post, violinist, winner of Juneau’s Got Talent 2017
    •    James Sullivan, actor, Theater Administration, Perseverance Theatre

    Margeaux Ljungberg will emcee the event, which is co-directed by Hali Duran and Allison Holtkamp.\

    Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online, at the JACC or Hearthside Books.
