Juneau school board candidate withdraws name

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A candidate for Juneau school board has withdrawn from the race.

    Amanda Ryder on Wednesday afternoon announced that she was withdrawing her candidacy for a Board of Education seat in the Oct. 1 regular municipal election.

    The Certified Candidate webpage at beta.juneau.org/clerk/certified-municipal-candidates-2019 has been updated to reflect this change.

    Candidates may withdraw their name from the ballot provided they submit notice in writing to the Municipal Clerk’s office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16.
