Juneau police welcome three new officers

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Juneau Police Chief Ed Mercer swore in three new officers Joseph Paden, Ron Shriver and Aron Landry this week.

    Paden is a native of Juneau and graduated from Thunder Mountain High School in 2014.  Most recently he served as a para-professional for the Juneau School District.

    Shriver was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and has previous experience at the Westminster City Police Department.  He also is a U.S Marine and served as a Military Police Officer at Marine Corps Base Quantico where he served as Presidential Security for Marine One Helicopter Squadron.  Most recently officer Shriver was a field training officer, booking officer, prisoner transport officer, firearms instructor, shift supervisor, and security and training sergeant at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

    Landry was born in Los Angeles, California and is a graduate of the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Health Education.  He is a veteran of the Salt Lake City, Utah, Police Department.  He served as patrolman, bike officer and detective.  He also was a training officer for the Salt Lake City Police Department Academy.
