Juneau lawmakers to meet with Governor's Chief of Staff on Capital Creep

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Capital Creep was raised as a concern by Juneau Representative Sara Hannan on Action Line when she was asked to react to plans by the Dunleavy Administration to move seven Department of Education and Early Development positions from Juneau to Anchorage.

She said it goes beyond the Education Department.  She said there are a lot of jobs leaving Juneau.

Hannan said the local delegation has a meeting next week with the Governor's Chief of Staff, Ben Stevens, on this matter.

Hannan has sponsored House Bill 63 which calls for the notification of state position changes.   It is pending action by the House State Affairs Committee.
