Huskies blank previously undefeated Wasilla at home

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Huskies blasted the Wasilla Warriors 63-0 at home on Friday, raising their record to 3-1 on the season.

    The Huskies knocked the previously unbeaten Warriors down a rung to 3-1 as well as Juneau went up 42-0 in the first half, and then added three more scoring drives in the third quarter.

    Gaby Soto started it all off with a 5-yard run, which was followed by a 10-yard pass from quarterback Noah Chambers to receiver Ali Beya.

    In the second quarter, Chambers connected again on a 23-yard pass to Danny Isaak, while Soto added another 5-yard run, Cooper Kriegmont crept into the end zone on a 3-yard run, and Isaak scored again on a 20-yard pass from Chambers.

    Beya scored two more times in the second half and Jahrease Mays also scored a TD in the win.

    The Huskies (3-1, 1-0) will host West Anchorage (2-2) in a non-conference game on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
