Fire Marshall asks public for help

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) An apparent attempted arson in a downtown business has gotten the attention of police and fire investigators.

    Capital City Fire Marshall Dan Jager said an automatic fire alarm activated at 12:12 AM Tuesday at 200 South Franklin Street.  A passerby noticed the flames, stopped, and used a portable fire extinguisher to put out the flames.  Fire personnel arrived soon afterward and put out the rest of the fire and removed smoke from the business.

    Jager confirmed it was an intentionally set fire and encouraged anyone who has knowledge of the incident to contact him directly at 586-0260.
