Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - It is the second domestic violence-related stabbing in the past week.
Juneau Police said Melissa Butler, 32, was charged with assault in the second degree after the incident Sunday morning.
Police said they responded to the report of a domestic dispute in teh8600 block of Gail Avenue. The victim, a 32-year-old man, said he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument and she stabbed him with a knife.
The victim suffered an injury to his right arm during the attack, police reported.
Butler was located about an hour later in a vehicle on Mall Road. Police said they located the knife believed to have been used in the case.
The victim was treated and released at Bartlett Regional Hospital.
Butler was held at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center with no bail and will await a court appearance.
