Decision to abort child results in assault

Fairbanks, Alaska (KINY) A mother and daughter were behind bars after they allegedly attacked a woman in North Pole because she had decided to have an abortion.

North Pole Police said the June incident resulted in the arrest of Savannah Hoban, 20 and Christina Armstrong, 38.  They both pled not guilty last week to charges of second degree assault.  The victim suffered a broken eye socket.

Hoban and Armstrong were expected back in court on November 22.
