Becker arraigned in Juneau Superior Court on child sex abuse charges

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A Juneau man was arraigned in Superior Court on Tuesday after being charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

    Bryan Becker, 30, was indicted Sept. 12 by a grand jury in Juneau. Judge Daniel Schally issued an arrest warrant the same day seeking his apprehension and he was taken into custody the following day.

    Becker is accused of sexual contact with two minors, and namely that he touched them inappropriately while they were under 16 years of age - and the victims, at the time of the offense were residing in the same household, and that he had authority over them.

    Both counts are Class B felonies under Alaska law. Becker faces five to fifteen years in prison on each count if convicted.

    Becker's bail remains set at $10,000. He is lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
