Angoon asks for hunting laws to change

    Angoon, Alaska (KINY) The City of Angoon would like elders to be able to shoot game from their boats.

    A proposal was heard by the Alaska Board of Game at their January meeting but did not pass.

    State regulations state disabled people can acquire free licenses that allow them to shoot from boats.   Southeast does not allow
    any shooting from a boat or vessel without the disabled permit.

    Angoon also wants to re-establish their local fish and game advisory committee.
