Anchorage police officer named in fatal shooting

    Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) Daniel Otte, a three year veteran of the force, shot and killed Charles McBride, 56, during an incident last week.

    The incident began as a broken window complaint at a condominium project.  McBride allegedly fired shots at a neighbor and maintenance man and then allegedly shot on police as they investigated the complaint.

    No police or civilians were injured in the incident December 20.  Police have not released information on what might have caused the violent outburst.  The case will soon by submitted for review by the State Office of Special Prosecutions.
