Anchorage Boy asks for Charity for Birthday

Anchorage, AK (AP) - A little boy in Anchorage didn't want presents for his birthday.

KTVA-TV reports that 7-year-old Logan More asked his parents to help raise money for the homeless instead of the usual birthday fare. More's mother helped create an online fundraising page. They ended up raising about $1,500 that was then used to buy 459 pairs of socks. Those socks were delivered to the Downtown Soup Kitchen Hope Center.

The boy had seen some homeless around town and thought that they could use some help.
