Alaska, Yukon Still Negotiating on Skagway Whitehorse Corridor

    Skagway, Alaska (KINY) Skagway Mayor Monica Carlson reports that the Lt. Governor Byron Mallott and the Yukon government are continuing talk on an accord that affects the Skagway to Whitehorse corridor.

    "The Walker administration has been in talks for three years on various Yukon-Alaska border issues like transportation, utility corridors, mining, heavy haul freight, and possible electric intertie discussions."

    Skagway was assured they will be a party to ongoing discussions, the Mayor added.
