Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Senator David Wilson is accused of placing a cell phone between the legs of a capitol staff member, KTVA News reported Thursday.
Senate President Pete Kelly has sent a letter to legal and human resource departments to create new policy to deal with harassment in the legislature.
Senator Wilson was accused of slapping a reporter for the Alaska Dispatch News last spring but no cases could be found during a search of the Alaska courts website by KINY News.
KTVA reported there were two eye witnesses to the incident. They reported the accusation stemmed from a close door meeting between House members. Wilson allegedly tried to listen in and was told by the staffer to leave, he refused and tried to use his phone to record through the door, at one point placing the phone between her legs and under her skirt.
Sen. Wilson declined to comment in the story, KTVA reported.
