Mike Godkin is a third generation Juneau resident born at St. Ann's Hospital on January 14, 1960. Mike is a lifelong Juneau resident, except for his ten-year attendance at the Washington State School for the Blind in Vancouver, Washington.

Although he is blind and developmentally disabled, he has an amazing sense of music and is passionate about listening to the radio. Mike has been part of the REACH program since 1980 and currently works in their office answering phones.

In his free time, Mike enjoys participating in bowling with the Special Olympics, swimming, and listening to music, particularly hits from the 1980s. He has been making volunteer appearances on radio shows for about 15 years and always looks forward to joining Jim Morgan on KINY. Mike loves audience participation while he is on the show and welcomes any feedback.
