Copies of the proposed 1998 303-d list are available from the Division of Air and Water Quality, and can be downloaded from the state DEC's homepage.

Commerce Commissioner Deborah Sedwick says lawmakers have too many important issues to deal with, and there may not be enough time to consider the merger.
Ogan introduces new subsistence measure
A proposal by Representative Scott Ogan, who killed the Knowles' administration's subsistence plan, would give a preference for personal and family use of fish and game, regardless of where the hunter or fisherman lives. The federal government is set to take over management of the state's fisheries if the subsistence laws aren't brought into compliance with federal statutes, calling for a rural preference of fish and game. Ogan says he hopes his bill meets the intent of the federal law.
