2010 Fish Tales Contest!

KINY Fish Tales Contest presented by

Mendenhall Auto Center Subaru

OK, we've all heard the stories about 'the big one that got away' and when asked 'where'd you catch the fish', responded with 'in the mouth'.  Now it's your turn to relive those fish tales during KINY's Fish Tales Contest!

In 90 seconds or less, share your greatest catch or most interesting fish story with our listeners and you could find yourself fishing for a day onboard the MV Islander during this years Salmon Derby.  Compose a short story, poem, limerick, haiku, or other poignant prose and phone it in to the Fish Tales hotline at 586-4466.

The submission deadline is August 8th at 11:59PM ADT.  See below for the official contest rules.  Come on, we want to hear your favorite whopper of a fish tale!

Two lucky winners and their guest will fish the 64th Golden North Salmon Derby in style aboard the Islander (pictured above) a luxurious 37-foot Tollycraft. We provide everything for the trip including coffee & doughnuts, tackle, bait, lunch and, of course, help landing those weighed and scholarship fish. Winners will also be reimbursed for the cost of their Derby tickets.
