Community Day on Campus: Carnival of Arts! has become one of Juneau’s favorite ways to kick off the summer and celebrate arts and culture in Alaska’s Capital City in the awe-inspiring beauty of the Auke Bay Campus of UAS.
Community Day on Campus Carnival of Arts! will go from 11 am until 3 pm on Saturday, May 18th and feature booths from an array of community groups in the UAS Mourant Courtyard. There is no charge to have a booth, and interested individuals and organizations may easily register online at http://bit.ly/Community_Day_Registration or go to www.jahc.org where there is a link to sign up.
Community Day on Campus: Carnival of Arts! is expected to attract about 1000 people, making it an outstanding opportunity for artists, non-profits organizations, and community groups to connect with Juneau. Community Day on Campus features food vendors, arts and crafts, plants, and other goods for sale, along with plenty of information and opportunities to register for summer activities, providing a great time for the entire family. Community Day on Campus celebrates the tremendous creative vitality of Alaska’s Capital City.

Assemblywoman Alicia Hughes-Skandijs will present awards to students whose art is selected for the show.
Community Day on Campus is a do-it-yourself event, with artists and groups bringing their own tables, chairs, tents and other booth accoutrements and clearing them away at the end of the day.
