A Holy Hike

    Saturday, May 18th

    Event Summary

The workshop is about global “spiritual” concepts and the focus will be on Nature Wisdom Traditions such as Native American and the general wonder and beauty of Creation and how to enjoy and benefit from being out in Creation. Participants will be guided to reflect on some of their significant spiritual or religious evens in their own lives that took place in Creation. A couple of meditation techniques will be taught that come from Christian tradition but are being presented using non-Christian terminology. There will be quiet reflective time and hopefully some music. The centerpiece of the afternoon will be a creative project where we will explore the condition and possible fate of various plants, animals and ecosystems. The lunch will be an opportunity to face the social justice issues of food growth and global distribution.
